Find out the players set to be released by the 20 Premier League clubs from 2016/17

Premier League clubs from the 2016/17 season have submitted the lists of players they will be keeping in their squads, and the ones they will be releasing.

Premier League rules require all clubs to submit their retained and released lists to the Premier League by the third Saturday in May, unless the circumstances set out in Rule U.33 apply.

Please note that players signified as a "free transfer" or released by a club on the expiry of their contract on 30 June 2017, could still remain there next season and so this list should not be seen as definitive for players leaving their club.

The information below is correct as of 29 May. A player's status may have changed since that date.

This list obviously isn't completely accurate, but if it's true Lloyd Isgrove has been released, I would snap him up on a free straight away.

I thought Connor McAleny was quality for us and he proved to be way too good for League 1 level when loaned out to Oxford last season. He would be one I would look at although the fact he has gone from being loaned out to the Championship to being loaned out to a League 1 club is a concern. He should be progressing the other direction.

The one that jumps out at me by a mile though is Arouna Kone. He had a 1 in 3 strike rate for a Wigan team always fighting relegation and he's been Lukaku's backup ever since. Not sure what type of wages he would demand, but if Warnock could convince him dropping a division for regular first team football on Whittingham's 25k a week contract with goal bonuses and promoton bonuses on top, he would be an incredible signing imo. Sadly, he's probably a little out of our range though.

I'd take Joe Ledley, Will Buckley and Victor Anichebe.
