' TWO NEW SIGNINGS / PLUS NEWS ON MANGA AND LEDLEY '

There will be two new signings within the next 10 -12 days.

In the next fortnight we will also know whether or not Bruno Mango will stay at City, Warnock is meeting his agent to try and do a deal.

Joe Ledley wants the move to City and is pushing for a return and is willing to drop in wages. If City get this deal across the line they see this as a statement of intent.

Interesting one this as I'm not sure Ledley is a priority for Warnock.I'd like to see him back but is he Warnocks first choice.

Manga would be brilliant, however take away the facts that Ledley is Welsh and ex City I don't see what the big hype is as I dont think we need him.

Ledley would be class. Can't believe some fans saying goes we don't need him. It's a season remember you need a strong squad not just 1st 11. Gunnarson and ledley with a new creative player in the Adam mould makes us a massive threat

I can't recall anyone moaning that we missed Ledley the season after he left........

Can't see it Myself not Warnocks type of player, unless Joe is prepared to come back on rock bottom wages.

Bruno Mango? Warnock is meeting his greengrocer to try and do a deal?

But the point is, he is Welsh and an ex-City player! :thumbright:

Bring some passion back to Cardiff City FC, would love to see him back! :bluescarf:

Now that ledley is willing to take a pay cut I'd happily take him, be a good squad player if that

Been told it's 3 keeper, Ward and Hayes!!

I don't think signing Ledley will be a statement of intent. Slower than he used to be, and he was never quick to start with, and seems to be able play for an hour before he runs out of steam and becomes even slower. I think if he is going to be typical of the quality we have here next season, we can kiss goodbye to a push for the play offs.

How many 90 minute games has Ledley played for club or country over the last two to three seasons?

We need first team players who can spend most of the season actually on the pitch if we're going to have a proper crack at top 6.

Not sure Joe can give us that any more.

Ledley is quality. Box to box, simple 1-2s excellent work rate and technique.

Great addition to our SQUAD, big character in the changing room and will help the others understand what it means to be a Cardiff City player and represent Wales Capital City.

If it's not going to break the bank it's a no brained.

If we could get Adam too we'd have a Premiership quality midfield 3 with the excellent and improving Joe to back up

Based on that rational would you take Nathan Blake back?

We need to build for the future and I cant see Ledley anything.

It seems like Ledley wants to come back and use city as his retirement home
He's too slow and he's not as good as we have got
We can only use him as a sub because he can only half a game
It's unlikely that many clubs will be in for him anyhow
If we don't sign him he will probably still be looking for a club come August
No thank you Joe we only want 100 per cent players
If Warnock wants a Welsh player who gives his all for ninety minutes then go for m
Dave Edwards from Wolves

for Palace 13 starts 2016/17 season {not sure how many were full games }. and 5 apps as a sub.
2015/16. 11 starts { again not sure of full games } .and 8 as sub.

Still waiting on the retained list, I'm guessing that will be out when Warnock knows what manga is doing, not sure why it has taken so long to sort out tbh.

Not good enough for the mighty Palace who will be back in the Championship soon enough. As far as being a Cardiff boy is concerned, he could'nt wait to get away last time he was here. I hope we have learned our lesson from signing over the hill players coming here for one last pay day before they move on with their lives.

From what I remember Joe was refused the chance to even speak to a Premier League team (think it was Stoke) who had offered £5 million.

City turned the offer down, negotiations about a new contract stalled and a Joe was out of contract 12 months later. Who could blame him for walking away.

Be a great signing exactly what we need!!

im excited to see what he has up front after the transfer window -

If he can offload Lambert and Gounogbe then that would be a plus!!

Zohore + Saadi plus 2 more options id be happy with especially with the two lads we're already linked too - Gallagher and Ward.

I dont see the point in Hayes if im honest i think there are younger with be better potential players about.

a CB would be ideal, and a senior GK to command the back line a priority - and then as a bit of a luxury the specialist abilities and link play of Charlie Adam would be the difference we missed last season.

not too much to ask for i dont think!!

To be fair to Crystal Palace don't think any of our players would make their team not even bench, so for joe to make double figures in appearances kinda suggests he actually is better than what we have.
As pointed out above, NW is smart enough to know you need a Squad to get out of this division not just a good first 11, joe adds Quality to the squad for sure in my eyes.

Interested to hear "Ledley is pushing for the move...", which gives the impression that Neil Warnock isn't totally interested and may feel he can get better value elsewhere in the market or (as many on here have said) in a more needy position and I certainly hope that is the case!

My views on Ledley and his previous "pushing for a move" situation are pretty well known but I have said that I will trust in Neil Warnock to do what he feels is right for Cardiff City FC and that is how it stands; but I don't have to like it

This should not be about what Joe Ledley wants, it should be about what is best for Cardiff City FC and IMHO the fit simply isn't there when we already have players who can do his job equally as well on less money and when we are in more need of players in other positions within the team

Others will have differing views but Ledley wants it for mainly non-footballing reasons, i.e. he (or his family) wants to move back to Cardiff/Penarth and that is not a reason for it to happen

He moved on (his prerogative) and so have the club and its fans (their prerogative)! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

it was Stoke..was 5mill..and was also on deadline day.
so there we are going for promotion ..and you really think selling Joe would have been the right thing.?
secondly..keep hearing he is a Cardiff boy..that season was our best chance for promotion for 40years. so what sort of Cardiff through and through person would even want to talk with Stoke in these circumstances.? plus you only allow players to talk to clubs AFTER a sale is agreed..so the not EVEN allowed to doesnt come into it..or do you think we should be chilled about clubs chatting up the likes of Zohore right now.?
