Cardiff City's biggest pre-season friendly against Portsmouth has been cancelled

Cardiff City's biggest match of pre-season has been cancelled, the club have confirmed.
The Bluebirds were due to face League One side Portsmouth at Cardiff City Stadium on Friday, July 28, in what would have been their final match before the new season begins.
But the game has now been scrapped after the two teams were drawn against each other in the Carabao Cup first round on Monday, August 7.
It means manager Neil Warnock will now try to arrange different opposition as he finalises his plans before the 2017/18 campaign.
The Bluebirds begin their summer fixtures against Taff's Well on July 7 before a tour of Cornwall sees them take on the likes of Tavistock, Bodmin Town and Plymouth Argyle. They also play Shrewsbury away on July 25.
A club statement said: "Cardiff City FC can confirm that our home pre-season fixture with Portsmouth FC, originally scheduled for Friday, 28th July, has been cancelled.
"The decision was made following discussions between both Clubs, with City hosting Pompey in Round One of the Carabao Cup on the week commencing Monday, 7th August.
"Supporters will be informed in due course regarding the potential arrangement of a final pre-season fixture."
Cardiff will discover their fixtures for next season on Wednesday morning.

Cardiff City will play Portsmouth at home in the first round of the Carabao Cup (League Cup), the week commencing 7th August.
