" MOTM polls "

Postby worcester_ccfc » Tue Jun 20, 2017 4:25 pm

The Man of the Match polls have been running for a few seasons on here now.

Every summer, I always like to ask whether people would like to see them carry on or not.

There will be a full breakdown of last season's results before the new season starts.

So, should I continue the MOTM polls next season?

If you have any ideas on how the polls can be improved or altered, as well, then feel free to say :thumbright:

Three days to vote on this and whichever options wins, will be what happens for this coming season.

i like them, it does open up various discussions.

Is it technically difficult to set up a scoring system, like the echo use ????

I agree a scoring system (if possible) would be preferable.

Yeah keep it going.
I usually vote but what becomes of the player of the season? Is he given any recognition from this forum?

We managed to sort out a prize through the club for the 2015/16 season, but it fell through. Always looking at possible ideas for a prize, which could work. All suggestions welcome.

I'm not sure how that would be done with the way the polls work on here. Would take someone with a better knowledge of computers and this website than me!

Good idea though, and if anyone knows how... :thumbright:

Will be up in the next week or two :thumbright:

I've done most of them, but takes a while with at least 48 games in a season if you count cup games :thumbright:

Why not have a first with an optional second and optional third best player. Give them points for each position. Quite often more than one player plays well. Sometimes it's difficult to name one so just don't bother. It would be a fairer reflection of who is influencing games positively
