Cardiff City contracts: How long do Bluebird stars have left on their contracts?

Four Bluebirds have penned new deals this summer while Neil Warnock has brought in six new players, but how long do they all have on their contracts?


Frenchman Loic Damour became Cardiff City's sixth signing of the summer when he put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Bluebirds.

He joins Neil Etheridge, Lee Camp, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Danny Ward and Callum Paterson in making the move to Cardiff City Stadium ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

And as far as outgoings are concerned, striker Rickie Lambert has joined club stalwart Peter Whittingham and Wales international Emyr Huws in leaving the Bluebirds this summer.

The forward was deemed surplus to requirements after a tough debut campaign in the Welsh capital in which he scored just four goals, playing only 19 times for the Bluebirds.

He still had one year left on his deal with Cardiff but following the form of star striker Kenneth Zohore as well as the signature of Danny Ward from Rotherham, Neil Warnock was keen to let Liverpool-born forward Lambert move on.

The Yorkshireman himself signed a deal to remain with the club for the 2017-18 campaign back in February as he looks to guide the Bluebirds into the promised land of the Premier League, but what are the contract situations of Cardiff's squad?

Need to tie Gunnerson down to a longer contract quickly

Morrison and Gunner need new deals or sell them on.

Yes Morrison and Gunnar need to be prioritised - or sold before they go for nothing.

Problem is they will both be big earners.

This is the first time since Malky was manager that i feel the squad has structure and balance. Warnock like Malky are planing for the future, where as Ole was just looking at the next game.

I also feel that im now part of Cardiff again hence if we lose a few games we are more likely to support the team than get on their backs.
