Cardiff to take Livingston strikers Matthew Knox and Danny Mullen on trial next week

Cardiff City will take Livingston strikers Matthew Knox and Danny Mullen on trial next week, according to Sky sources.

Knox, 17, was the subject of two failed bids from Rangers last summer and has also enjoyed a spell on trial at Manchester United.

He became the youngest player in Livi's history when he made his debut in the 4-1 win over St Mirren on Boxing Day in 2015 at the age of 16.

He made 12 appearances last season as Livingston secured promotion back to the Scottish Championship after winning the League One title.

Mullen came through the Livingston youth ranks and made his debut for the first-team in 2012 at the age of 17.

Just read the SS article, seems the young lad has already played a fair bit of football with goals to boot.

I just watched Matthew Knox curling in a delicious free kick to set up their goal against Rangers. At only 17, surely he is worth snapping up. Rangers have already tried to sign him and he's had a trial with Man Utd, so there must be a lot of potential there. Hopefully, they will both feature at Taffs Well.

Looks lightweight,but a good pedigree.
Rangers had a 75k bid turned down, so may be available for 150?
Looks a squad player at present though.

id say the younger 1 for the future. but the other 1 is 22 with a lot of goals last year. unless we loan him back i cant see him in dev team.
