IT’S GOOD TO BE BACK

Fraizer Campbell:

"I'm delighted to be a Tiger again and hopefully it can go the same way as it did last time with us winning promotion to the Premier League," said Campbell.

"I'm looking forward to playing at the KCOM Stadium again and I can't wait to get started."

HULL CITY SIGN CAMPBELL

29/07/17

We kick things off this morning with a done deal from last night, which saw Hull have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of free-agent Fraizer Campbell.

Campbell, who was part of Phil Brown's promotion-winning squad in 2007/08 when on loan from Manchester United, has agreed a two-year deal with the Tigers, who hold the option of an additional year.

Campbell scored 15 times during his loan at Hull before returning to Old Trafford, where he made four senior appearances.

Though I won't deny he was a popular figure down here but for me he was like a black Ronnie Moore and to be honest I think theres more goals in the guys we've got.

He won't score as many as Zohore so I'm glad we didn't sign him in the end. :ayatollah:

The one I remember was at Gay Meadow years ago,and even that one was a bit fluky as he didn't catch it right.Him and a daisy cutter from Buchannan. But as with Cambell, good workrate but not enough goals

Thought he was brilliant for us but its been a while now since he had a season as being first choice.

Problem he is will be on a decent wage.
Would I play him ahead of Zohore? no
Do I think Warnock would play them together? not really
Do I think he is to expensive as back up? Yes

Still would have liked him here mind

They say never go back in sport - I don't think Frazier Campbell will be anywhere near prolific for Hull. I'd expect plenty of huffing and puffing but he'll be unable to blow the door down.

We have better front men.

Described on talksport as a non goalscoring centre forward. They were having a good laugh anyway.

He was hardly prolific for us and that was years ago, he's older and not played much football since, big flop for Hull, he won't be firing many this season.

He's fecking rubbish, if I was Warnock and would play three at the back and leave him unmarked, he'll miss anyway :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Biggest disappointment for us, wasted so many chances .....

I agree, we've younger players in ward Saadi Zohore etc with lots to prove.

I'm a fan of Campbell I like his work rate and at the start of the summer I would have said yes but prob a no now.

If he dropped down a league two years ago he would have done himself a world of good but he'd rather sit in his bench half his career.
