There was palpable excitement in the stands at Priory Park as it was revealed new signing Lee Tomlin would make his Cardiff debut.
The setting was a rainy night in Cornwall rather than the bright lights of a league fixture but Tomlin - wearing the No.7 shirt - did his best to light up the encounter in a 45-minute cameo.
Despite a few errant passes it was immediately clear what the former Bristol City ace will bring to the Bluebirds; an eye for a pass and that ability to create openings in the final third. One mazy run in the first half almost deceived the entire Bodmin defence, while it was refreshing to see Cardiff play with a genuine No.10 who dropped into the channels.

You can just tell Warnock is going to get the bet out of him, and kick start his career again can't you
