They haven't got electric there so it was always going to be expensive, give them a few more gas lamps to keep the tramps happy !!!

Typical Tories all promises pre-election, then when they didn't win the seats they thought they would they stick the knife in.

Not sure that it matters as the trains being used on electric lines to Cardiff are same ones being used to Swansea as from September! :occasion5:

Very expensive car park and station though! Taxpayer getting screwed again as private company will get far more back than put in. Plus its not a short distance to the housing estate : :old:

Surely a parkway would be better at jct34 of the M4. The rail line goues right under the junction and is where they are talking about an airport link road from the city deal.

sure will SBF . Will be great to get to games and to the city centre without getting stuck in traffic . waynes east cardiff will be gridlocked in 4 years time like most places so it will certainly help getting around the city . we've been crying out for this for years out here .

Just like Corbyn promising to clear student's debts then rowing back on the promise when he realised it was the economics of the madhouse

Yes probably right I lived in st mellons for 5yrs and spent my childhood in trowbridge and it's a long way to tracks as it was our playground around that area! Personally I think it's totally in wrong place, they've said several thousand work around station where are they suppose to catch the train that stops there? Be a white elephant no doubt. :old:

It wasn't an election promise and if you read up on it the travel time will be same as the electric lines without the disruption.

Electrifying the line between Cardiff and Swansea will only save 5 minutes or something, they can't go faster due to certain issues anyway. Let's be honest Cardiff is the hub of Wales, with regard to almost everything but top flight football its all in the capital and stops there. :bluescarf:
