Sky sources understand Swansea have rejected Everton's improved bid for Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Paul Clement's side want £50m for the Iceland international.

We understand Everton's rejected offer was worth £40m plus £5m in add-ons.

They have to sell him as his head has been turned.

Everton should pull the plug on this deal, Swansea will be stuffed with a player who does not want to play for them, he will be bitter that Swansea didn't take the £45 mil for him and he will probably be sold in January for circa £25 mil loosing Swansea £20. Mil into the bargain

Maybe if you do sell Sigurdsson, you'll finally start thinking about paying back the 92% of creditors you ripped off all those years ago? Whatever Swansea achieve, you'll always have to live with the fact you didn't do things the honourable way.

The prices are inflated at the moment but in supposedly the most toughest league in the world he's in that calibre of names for stats.. He is only 28 and obviously getting them sort of stats in that team I think he values 30 million easily.. 45 is a high amount but the fee he is attracting with them sort of stats you can't really say the price is bad for what the market is currently like.

De gea isn't approaching the latter years of his career he can afford to stay at man utd and still make the move to Madrid if he sees fit, he also never dropped out of a pre season tour with United.
