Watson was with NW at Palace in 2007/09 but was sold to Wigan in January 2009 with just 6 months left on his contract. Palace had offered him av contract which would have made him their highest paid player but he turned it down.

NW must have liked him why else offer to make him their highest paid player. One to watch maybe.

I think you are spot on. All very well wanting to sell a player, but firstly you need a buyer, and then the wage issue comes into play where we seem to have a history of paying well over the odds for mediocre players. Not always easy to offload the people you don't need if they have an inflated salary.

its difficult to know who is earning what. but im pretty sure the last set of accounts showed wages at 30 mill. which means some people are earning a fortune.

If it means bringing in 1 or 2 more for 4 or 5 to go - lets do it ....In NW We trust
