Cardiff City have reportedly wrapped up a £1 million deal for Wigan striker Omar Bogle on a three year contract :thumbright: :bluebird:

It is believed Bogle to Cardiff City is a done deal

' UPDATED ' 17/08/17

Cardiff City are on the brink of signing Wigan striker Omar Bogle.

The 26-year-old front man is the mystery signing boss Neil Warnock alluded to in the aftermath of his table-topping team's 2-0 victory over Sheffield United on Tuesday night.

Warnock is also ready to make a move for Preston's Greg Cunningham if left-back Joe Bennett chooses to join Fulham. Cardiff hope Bennett will stay in Wales, but have lined up Cunningham as a potential replacement should he opt for Craven Cottage.

Would be a decent addition.

Hoping he's not seen as a replacement for Zohore though.

1/5 to sign him on sky bet

Odds slashed: Bookies cut Cardiff City into 1/5 to sign Wigan striker Omar Bogle

HITC

Tuesday 15th August 2017

Popular bookmakers SkyBET have dramatically slashed the odds on the Bluebirds signing Latics forward Omar Bogle.

The 24-year-old moved to Wigan from Grimsby Town on transfer deadline day in January, for a fee believed to be in the region of £750,000, but only managed to score three goals in 14 outings for his club.

Sky Sports claim that Latics boss Paul Cook doesn't believe that Bogle fits into his system and philosophies, and has made him available for transfer this summer.

Grimsby's Omar Bogle celebrates with team mate Jon Nolan after scoring his and the teams second goal of the game during the Vanarama Football Conference League Play Off Final between...

And SkyBET believe that he could very well be plying his trade in Wales this term, listing Cardiff as short as 1/5 to sign the pacey forward, ahead of Scunthorpe at 6/1.

Bogle possesses natural raw talent, blistering pace, and an admirable work ethic, but there are questions as to whether he has enough quality to cut it in the Championship.

He is valued at around £800,000 by his club according to Sky Sports, so he will surely be worth taking a risk on.

And who knows, his goals could make the difference between an average campaign and a very good one for Cardiff.

Perfect as a back up for a small investment, NW has seen somthing he can work with and I have no reason to doubt him based on signings so far.

Think he's only played 13 games at this level, so not sure how you can judge him on that, see Zohore as an example

This time last season ( pre- Warnock)Zohore was useless, according to many fans.
But Warnock saw something and changed Zohore beyond recognition.
So who's to say he can't with Bogle ????

This kid could be a fantastic addition for us, is 25 and a towering presence at 6"3, smashed the goals in for Solihull and Grimsby and under Warnock could be a right hidden gem, he knows where the net is so I'll be pleased with this business !!

If Zohore goes this club will truly show it has no ambitions whatsoever and if Warnock has anything to do with the sale he should go too.

Zohore has had huge promise from an early age . had played 10 champions league games by the age of 18 . signed for Fiorentina.
Bogle might work out fine but incomparable backgrounds.

Why so negative? If it wasnt for Warnock we could of been playing league 1 football.

Admittedly the only time I've seen him is on tv but he looks very strong and quick and scored a few goals too. Worth a punt I'd say.

On the flip side if the club turn down a bid in the region of 12million it could be seen as bad management of the "business"

You could make the squad invincible by spending that cash and we could still go up.

Two more games without Zohore scoring and the fickle world of football will have him valued at 7million.
