Yes, a reported £3m and I said at the time it was the 'Sale of the Century' with Dick Turpin reportedly seen heading for the Welsh border out of the Back Country!

I'd guess we've put a decent clause in the sale too or he would've been sold?

That's probably right (wages an issue) as it was said he increased his wages to go to Wolves. I'm sure they were only given his League Cup Final DVD to view before buying!

I wouldn't go that far. All joking apart, Joe Mason did some good stuff for us and nearly won us the Football League Cup against Liverpool with a goal that will remain in Cardiff City folklore. But he wasn't worth £3m and the club (City) were right to offload once that offer came in!

Funny enough,I reckon they would get their money back if they sold him as transfer fees have gone through the roof since we sold him.
