Not sure if your argument is two wrongs make a right, but from my perspective both those deals and players were crap.

You cant compare Jones and Cornelius and not to mention the huge transfer fee

exactly kenwyne scored us the goals in a very poor Russell slade team, where as we should never have bought acorn when we really needed a proven pl striker. Cornelius was shit and kenwyne was one of our best players,no comparison.
