‘YOU TALK A LOAD OF RUBBISH’ – SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY FANS REACT TO CARVALHAL’S ASSESSMENT OF 1-1 CARDIFF DRAW

Sunday 17th September 2017

Sheffield Wednesday were left frustrated yesterday afternoon as a last gasp Sol Bamba equaliser was enough to salvage a draw for Cardiff City and keep them in the mix of the playoff spots.

The Owls had led for most of the game through Gary Hooper’s goal, but could not keep out a determined and dogged Cardiff side led by Neil Warnock on the touchline, and succumbed to a late leveller from the Ivorian defender.

The result ended a run of winning matches for the Owls, who head into next Sunday’s Sheffield derby in decent form still.

After the game, manager Carlos Carvalhal praised his team and insisted they should have won the game, but some Wednesday fans were in serious disagreement with him.

Here, we take a look at how Wednesday fans reacted on Twitter to Carvalhal’s assessment of the 1-1 draw with the Bluebirds…

How can he possibly say that when he plays such a negative second half, asking for an equaliser?!

But we didn't

Didn't deserve the win as we conceded in the last minute.Only deserve a win when you score at least one more than the other team.

He's talking rubbish. We had four times as many shots on target than them and twice as many corners; the stats confirm we should have won.

Funny old game is football! Our fans say they deserved to win yet their own fans say they didn't? :o

I can't understand our fans saying that, yes they had a lot of possession in their own half, and they look a decent team, but they only had to attempts on target all game.

Expectations have risen, if Trollopes team had played like that they would have been delighted.

And the usual saying of fans is when you are not playing well but manage not to lose it's a sign of a good team Obviously doesn't apply to city ? :o 9

On reflection a draw was a fair result.

I thought a draw was a fair result. They had a lot of possession but didn't really create many chances but in the second half,we were the better team and deserved a point.
