Great picture!

My dad made me a wooden box to stand on when we stood on the Bob Bank - surprised nobody nicked it to throw at the coppers or the opposition fans!

Right up until he died a couple of years ago he'd say to me when I told him I'd been to watch the City "Did you take your box to stand on son?"

prior to the fence they would line up there to stop us getting from the grange to the bob for big games { games where they thought there night be away fans } and remain there even if the away fans were a no show..spend all game charging OB and those getting through the line would just go through the tunnel back into the grange and continue the charging...mental

Wayne Nash found out that City fans have been taking 'Viagra for the Eyes' in recent times. Doesn't actually do much for them but he's afraid it makes them look hard! ;)

Me too - loved going down the City with my Dad. Cuts me up just thinking about those times.
My father missed the cup final in 1927 as my grandad only had 2 tickets, and my Dad had an older brother!

Yeah I loved that picture - and your post. Took me back nearly 50 years to the days Toshack Don Murray, Brian Harris, Barry Jones Peter King Ronnie Bird Graham Carver Bob Wilson etc +(oops getting a bit carried away there!!).
Strangely enough my Dad made me and my best mate a box each to stand on. My Dads been dead 23 years ago but I've still got the box with a plant on it!
I live away now but my mate is still a season ticket holder, and I go down whenever I can.

Happy days :bluebird:

That’s amazing. My Dad made me a wooden box to stand on too. We stood under the camera gantry just by the ladder. He painted it blue with Cardiff City AFC painted in white on the front.
