"Cardiff City Will turn them over" Says Nathan Blake

Thursday 21st September 2017

Sunderland game is a big opportunity

Cardiff are back into the rhythm of Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday again, which can be tough on the legs. Fatigue will start coming into it now and Warnock, as an old school manager, will probably favour rest and some lighter training sessions to help the players through.

This weekend against Sunderland is a great chance, as Cardiff face a team who have got a lot of issues.

You wouldn't swap positions with Sunderland, not unless you were an idiot! I love Sunderland and have some good friends up there so it's sad to see such a fine, well-established club in the position they are.

I suppose it's got to be someone who is struggling every year but their problems go beyond that. It's been happening for years and I don't have any answers as to why — but they don't seem to be able to sustain any success or continuity. It wouldn't surprise me if Sunderland find themselves in League One next year.

That's why I think Cardiff City will turn them over on Saturday.

An early goal or two could really flatten the mood at the Stadium of Light and the boo boys will be out. Sunderland could actually use a manager like Warnock themselves, but I hope they stick with Simon Grayson to prosper in the long term.
