Three in the middle or room for a number 10?

The Bluebirds employed three players across the centre of midfield to great effect against Sunderland, with Craig Bryson doing well to shine on his full City debut, while Joe Ralls was once again allowed to pull the strings in midfield alongside Aron Gunnarsson.

It was a set up that worked to great effect in stifling the likes of Lee Cattermole in the centre of the park and, with Leeds likewise boasting plenty of talent at the heart of midfield with Eunan O'Kane and Kalvin Phillips, it could prove a decent tactic once more.

The remarkable numbers that prove why Cardiff City boss has every right to revel in 'Warnock Way' tag after Sunderland win
Even if he does opt for this approach, Warnock may still feel that someone such as Loic Damour could provide them with a bit more of combative edge, although history suggests he always weary of tinkering too much with what he regards as a winning formula.

Alternatively, there's the question around playmaker Lee Tomlin, who despite boasting tremendous technical talent, has not started a league game since the 2-1 win over Sheffield United. Given the nature of this contest, Warnock may feel more confident in keeping the shape of the midfield by exploring other options.
