What the managers have said before tonight game

With Warnock facing one of his many former clubs — and a fierce rival of the Bluebirds — it was no surprise to hear the manager talking up the potential feisty atmosphere that could greet the visitors in South Wales.

“It’s going to a great atmosphere," he said. "We’ve got 21,000 fans already in and I’m hoping with this result it’s going to be 25,000 or so.

“They’ll bring a full contingent and they’ve done brilliantly, probably better than Wolves had because they’ve not spent quite the same money."

Christiansen isn't shying away from the magnitude of this game, saying at his Monday press conference: "It will be like the Millwall game, the Ipswich game and the Birmingham game rolled into one.

"Cardiff have started very good, it is a very important game for us."

On the potential of leading Leeds to promotion, he then added: "I don't look further than one or two games so I cannot imagine myself in that situation. It would be nice, of course, and we all have our dreams. If it is possible or not, time well tell."
