Everyone has a choice , any particular reason why you won't sing our anthem ?
I know the words. Not just 'our' anthem, (assuming you mean Wales), but any anthem. I don't like the booing of anthems, even of countries I don't particularly like, or don't like us. Just prefer to get on with the game. Last night I stood there respectfully, but did not sing, or applaud either. I wasn't the only one, by the way, at least in block 106. The singing last night was impressive, but did us no good whatsoever! Some countries have brilliant anthems, others terrible ones, but that's not really the point. For me, it's all about the football, that's all. Captains exchange pennants, toss the coin, chose which way to play, shake hands, and away to go. Don't like 'dignitaries' being introduced to the teams, either, but see less of that these days. National anthems can be controversial, too. Some Italian fans won't sing the current one, preferring the older one, for political reasons. I could go on!
