Agreed. Ten years, Championship level, and one at Premier League level. Finest footballer I ever saw play for the City, going back to the late 60s.

I have loads including Peter Sayer, Jason Perry, Mark Delaney, Rob Earnshaw, Paul Parry and Super Kev.

Toshack for me, closely followed by Brian Harris, Ian Gibson, and a few others.

Ian Gibson. Genius, and had good players around him.

Way to many to mention but, Jeff Hemmerman, Phil Dwyer, used to love the Dave and Gary Bennett but sometimes lazier than Nathan Blake.

But up there at the very top for me is........Nicky Platnauer and strangely enough left City for Notts County when NW was manager!

No votes for graham kavanagh or Willie Anderson, on his day I thought he was class bill irwin was a tidy keeper too

Yet another vote for Ian Gibson. Just a brilliant footballer and one that I consider myself lucky enough to have seen. Also, a mention to Barrie Jones and especially Peter King, who I have to say IMO was the most consistent player ever to wear a City shirt. Just never had a bad game.

best player I've seen in a city shirt has to be Jason Koumas with Gary O'neil following closely behind.
O'neil only played a handful of games but from what I can remember he was incredible.

and for pure class as opposed to trench warfare qualities, I'd add Aaron Ramsey to O'Neill and Koumas

Ian Gibson was a great midfield player and gets my vote. I am going back a bit but alf sherwood, Harrrington, Brian Walsh and Steve Malloy all good players. But my second favourite was Ivor Allchurch , he was a class player.

Ian Gibson seems to be popular on here, and I know plenty of long time City supporters who say the same thing. Although I went for Toshack, there is no doubt Gibson was pure quality, and us older fans were lucky to see such a class player gracing the Ninian Park pitch. Certainly one of the very best I have seen in my 50 years as a fan.

Although Toshack was my boyhood hero the best player is a toss up between Ian Gibson and Brian Harris both were Division 1 class playing in the 2nd Division and ouzed class. If I had to go for one it would probably go for Gibson
