Wednesday’s newspapers are dominated by speculation surrounding who could replace sacked Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare.

The Daily Mirror reports the Foxes do not have anyone immediately lined up, and says former boss Nigel Pearson will not be considered.

Names reportedly in the frame include former Foxes boss Martin O'Neill and former England manager Sam Allardyce.

According to the Daily Star and the Daily Express, Sean Dyche is top of the shopping list for Leicester, with the club looking to offer a £2m per year deal, while the Telegraph reports that the club's owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, wants to sign a "big name" from outside the current staff.

The Sun reports that Wales manager Chris Coleman is the early favourite for the job, with the second favourite being current Leicester assistant boss Michael Appleton.

TUCHEL OUT OF LEICESTER RUNNING

18/10/17

Thomas Tuchel has become the latest high-profile manager to rule himself out of the vacant manager’s job at Leicester City.

The 44-year-old is hot property in European football after leaving Borussia Dortmund in May, just days after winning the DFB-Pokal.

But Sky Sports News understands Tuchel has his sights set on bigger clubs. Despite going on record to say he’s keen on a possible move to the Premier League in the future, he would not entertain a club not playing Champions League football.
