Stephen Heard:

Annis Abraham any truth in this i agree a firm ain't gonna admit they got turned over bt some of the post i read about soul crew are honest about being battered hartlepool and west ham and even boro coming to ours bt atleast we dont big ourselves up our soul crew ran riot at times and probably the best firm along with west ham man u Millwall and Chelsea... Even Chelsea firm gave cardiff credit wen we went there fa Cup man what a eye opener that was for me and having bluebirds watch each others bk that day was class... Think most have grown up since then families and stuff bt our reputation is still there

Annis Abraham:

Stephen Heard Stepen, 30 of us went up in the morning mostly from the Docks/Grangetown, Bristol were done in their own pub,but OB came,we got split up and yes before the game, we fought with them by a skip and eventually they over run us and done us in their park, where we tried to fight back, but way to many of them came from every where. All sides, of the park. This was about 1989/90.

Stephen Heard:
So seeing that video other day of them lads was a bit embarrassing then mate

Annis Abraham:
Very, just young kids of today.

Stephen Heard:

Exactly mate after game was tasty as some of the old boys where there trying to get to the Bristol lot bt wen that gate burst open Bristol shit themselves bt the youth more interested in videoing it and to me its embarrassing and all u do is get city fans grassed on... I walk through the Bristol lot as misses parked car by there club shop and took some abuse loved it and all my lad did was ayatollah them  few shook me hand its a common respect bt seeing 10 on 1 and it being kids just embarrassed me watching it

All complete rubbish , south Wales police didn't have horses until 1994 !! In fact previous to this south Wales police would use Avon and Somerset mounted section ! As for 5000 , what a load of crap , rovers used to bring more than city , he's lying through his arse

Annis Abraham:

Stephen, I've just read what Ian has put out, 30 of them coming down and fighting 300 of us, total rubbish, I rem 30 of them coming in to the Owain Glyndwr and the Land Lord locking them in for their own protection until the police arrived. Why do people have to make up stories. That same day about 300 Cardiff got fed up of waiting for Bristol and went down to the Ninian Park Pub about 2.30pm, but about 40 of us still waited believing they would still come and yes they did, fair play at least 300 of them who burst through the Police and done the 40 of us by the Old Empire Pool, we were fuming as all the others had only just left 10mins earlier.

Ian Pride: Later on it does question why they don't get a mention in the Cardiff books

Kevin Thomas Cos Rovers were better?

Anthony Rivers:
That was one oversight in our book to be fair. I think we meant to add a Bristol chapter but didn't get round to it. As Kevin says in my time Rovers had the inferior numbers to them but always made a better effort. Several times they got into town early and one time got 20/30 lads into the philharmonic after the game away from the police which never happened. The only time Bristol City came early was early 2000's on a Tuesday afternoon but five minutes later they ended up back in central station

I wonder if the book mentions Bristol's mob getting totally annihilated outside trashton gate by Cardiff in 1974 after the dirty wurzel c*nts chanted about the Aberfan disaster. The most one sided, humiliating hammering ever seen at a match.

The mob they brought in 89 they arrived half two at central. A few of us were there waiting for a taxi to take us to the ground. Big mob of 250/300, around 60 of them split off and walked round to Asteys, there was a toe to toe there and a handful of Bristol at the front pulled blades. By the ground 30 of our main lot mostly Ely stood against them and the wurzels did f**k all

Anthony Rivers:
I could go on. They were never as good as they thought they were. The league cup game there we walked through the park before the game and they were legging it over the walls towards the turnstiles

Mixture of Port Talbot/Neath and Ely/Docks had it with them at Central, in front of the bus station, in the 80s, maybe the game that Tony mentions (89), it must have been raining, because the golf umbrellas were out in force
They were game, to be fair

Spot on there lakey is!!i was there on that Tuesday in town an they did bring a decent mob an were early very early, but as he says they arrived stood outside central for about 5minutes with no police around then just walked back into the station was very odd behaviour considering they think their this super firm lol!always rated both Bristol clubs but I’d put rovers over city all day long they never had the numbers of city but would always have a pop

Always remember 4 of them in the Nin, two huge guys looking self-assured. That was until the pocket dynamo(never knew his name) from Merthyr sussed it, and whacked the biggest out cold one punch.

Must have been late 80's early 90's...

I remember the league cup game got threatened by a couple of cardiff myself until they heard my accent.
I also remember cardiff threatening each other in the ground.
Also Andy Cole scored his first hat trick !

Ian Evans:

I remember talking to this Norwegian guy I used to work with around 2001 and when I told him I was a City fan he said, "Ah, so you are a hooligan yes! I know about Cardiff".

"How come?" I asked him. So he said he was once visiting Bristol and quietly sitting outside some cafe when all of a sudden he says, about a hundred Wurzels started running past, knocking over the chairs and tables. He thought they were just wrecking the place at first but then he saw a load of City fans right behind chasing & smacking them all the way down the road. Made me smile that did.

What was the year when they wouldnt let us out and they sent police horses in the away end? A bloke by me was on crutches. He took a crutch and smashed a copper off his horse. Five mins later, the turnstile wall collapsed and everyone charged outside. Bristol shit themselves. It was absolute carnage.
Might have been the Andy Cole hat-trick game? I cant remember. They all blur into one.
