Neil Warnock has revealed Aron Gunnarsson is in contention to return for Cardiff City in their Championship clash with Brentford on Saturday afternoon.
But star striker Kenneth Zohore once again looks set to miss out due to injury, meaning Danny Ward is set to lead the line against Dean Smith's side in the absence of suspended forward Omar Bogle.

Brentford midfielder Nico Yennaris believes Neil Warnock's Cardiff are 'horrible to play against'
Saturday 18th November 2017
By Tom Law
Brentford midfielder Nico Yennaris paid Cardiff the ultimate compliment by saying they are horrible to play against.
Neil Warnock's Bluebirds will certainly provide the Bees, who go into the game on a nine match unbeaten run, a stern test.
And Yennaris knows that he faces a hard-fought 90 minutes in Wales but is confident of picking up a result, provided the Bees stick to their game plan.
He said: “They're horrible to play against. The normally go man for man. It's always going to be a tough game.
“They're normally six foot, big, strong and physical. It'll be a good test for us on the weekend as we've been hitting form of late."
He added: “We have our game plan and what we stick to and how we play.
“As long as we approach the game in the right frame of mind, our football can do the talking, rather than what they're doing. As long as we stick to our game plan we'll be all right.”
Yennaris sees Cardiff's wide players as one of their major threats but also hailed Brentford's full back options going into the tie.
He explained: “They've got two good wingers in Hoilett and Mendez-Laing. They're pacey guys and have trickery to them. We know they can cause a threat.
“They're their more creative players but we've got two top full backs and we've seen top teams. It's not all about physicality. The ball does the talking.”

Cardiff free-kick
Joe Bennett pumps a free-kick into the area, and Morrison gets his head on to it, but Bentley easily gathers.

Save!
Superb save from Etheridge who claws away Maupay’s shot before pouncing on a Brentford cross.
Great stuff from the Cardiff keeper.

Well Cardiff City might have the lead but Brentford can perhaps consider themselves unlucky not to have a goal too. They’ve come close a couple of times - through Yoann Barbet and Neal Maupay - but Neil Etheridge has been very tidy in the Bluebirds goal and Junior Hoilett and Loic Damour are bringing the ball out on the counter-attack very effectively. Cardiff just need to find Danny Ward’s feet more often. He’s not winning too much in the air.

Great stuff from Bamba who shows terrific strength to shield the ball before charging 30 yards up the field.
But the Ivorian can’t find the killer ball to release a team-mate. Very flat atmosphere here at CCS, and the conditions certainly don’t help raise spirits.

@fjozefzoon's cross nodded away by a @CardiffCityFC defender. The Bluebirds look to hit Brentford on the counter but Hoilett puts too much on the through ball. Goal-kick [1-0] #CCFCBEES

A low shot from @Joe_Ralls is easily gathered by Bentley. (1-0)
Sat Nov 18, 2017 3:38 pm
Its all Brentford and in the 33rd min Brentford missed a totally empty goal, miss of the season, keeper was down on the floor.

2-0 Danny Ward
Sat Nov 18, 2017 3:42 pm
Cardiff took full advantage of Brentford’s blunder by going up the other end, Manga charges up the right before squaring to Danny Ward who stretches to turn it home!

It’s been a strange old half, but Cardiff are leading 2-0.

Strange first-half City went in 2-0 up,yet they could of been losing, thats football for you.
Always say, no such thing as luck, it evens out over the season and you make your own luck

HALF TIME: Cardiff City 2-0 Brentford

Stuck in a stupid hospital and this is my only way of taking in the game!!
Sat Nov 18, 2017 3:54 pm
2-0 is harsh on Brentford but the visitors only have themselves to blame. They’ve been very shoddy in defence and extraordinarily wasteful up front.

Cheers Annis,
Had a liver transplant due to childhood illness in May and still reaping a few immune suppressed benefits!
Would love it if the fans cheered on 71 mins for Chape!

At last we have been clinical up front.
As I have been saying all season take your chances up front takes the pressure of the defence. That is how this first half went for us at last.
