Football fans go on the rampage

SKY NEWS

Sunday 12th November 2017

At least 22 police officers were injured in Brussels after violence broke out involving Moroccan football fans celebrating their team reaching next year's World Cup.

Cars were burned and shops were looted during the disturbances in the centre of the Belgian capital.

Riot police were deployed to control a crowd of about 300 people after the international side defeated Ivory Coast to qualify for the tournament in Russia.

At one point water canon was fired at small groups of people who were throwing stones.

The violence was condemned by Belgian interior minister Jan Jambon who said: "Unacceptable aggression in the centre of Brussels.

"Living together means respect, also for the police who are committed to our safety day and night."

Footage on social media showed tense scenes as riot police tried to block off streets to fans.

Officers restored order about two hours after the violence erupted.

Morocco won in the Ivory Coast city of Abidjan on Saturday night to qualifying for the 2018 World Cup, the country's first appearance at the finals since 1998.

Brussels has a big Moroccan population, many living in the Molenbeek district.

More than 20 police officers were injured in Brussels when celebrations over Morocco's qualification for football's World Cup turned violent.

BBC

Sunday 12th September 2017

The Moroccan national side qualified for the 2018 tournament in Russia with a 2-0 victory away to Ivory Coast on Saturday, topping their group.

Fans hit the streets after the game and burned at least one car, smashed glass and looted shops, police said.
Belgium has a large Moroccan community, making up 4% of the population.

One witness posted video to Twitter of water cannon being used on a crowd. Police said it was used on a group of about 300 people, some of whom were throwing stones.
Calm had returned by 21:30 local time (20:30 GMT), a reporter for the AFP news agency said.
Belgium's Interior Minister Jan Jambon condemned the riots, tweeting (in French) that they constituted "unacceptable aggression in the centre of Brussels".
He added: "Living together means respect, also for the police who are committed to our safety day and night."

In the Netherlands too, large groups of fans from Morocco or of Moroccan background celebrated in the streets. Some celebrations there turned violent, with the police in The Hague tweeting (in Dutch) that some people threw things at officers.
In Rotterdam, dancing fans set off flares in red and green, Morocco's colours.

Most of whom were local. Belgium and the Netherlands have big Moroccan communities.

The western governments need to ask... why are such savages being allowed in?

They should simply send the thieving sand-bandits and their families back to Morocco where they belong. Forced EU migrant 'enrichment' will topple the EU but the likes of Juncker and Merkel won't care as it doesn't affect them.
'Nail 'em up,' I say. 'Nail some sense into 'em.'
