new players? but when?

Postby boyosback » Thu Dec 31, 2009 10:39 am

in years gone by weve nearly always moved for new signings later on in the transfer window.... which often leaves us with the players that nobody wants or even the bargin basement as some would say..... so what do you think will happen this time around? move early? for the likes of your higher profile players, which doesnt always gaurantee anything. or bide our time and see what develops....... im hoping for at least one biggish name to get the fans excited and give the place a feel good factor once again.

To be fair, in previous years, the media rumours haven't even started until the last week of the window but we've already been linked with Watson, Stock and Reid so I think we'll look to move a.s.a.p. this time around, especially because the money has come in from season tickets.

4 or 5 players out on about 30th January my guess - The Riddler and Jones will put out a press release saying - "We really did try to secure top quality replacements for the players that left but unfortunately we just ran out of time - We have a first class youth set up and will utilise that for the rest of the season as we push for promotion"

When asked wht had happened to the funds raised from next seasons season ticket sales, Ridsdale response was "it has been invested in the club to help secure its future, we have also been prudent by cutting back on the players wage bill"

If we don't act early jan then it may be too late for our playoff hopes. Our central midfield has been struggling and now rae out for 3 - 4 weeks.
