Sky News

Monday 13th November 2017

Sinclair is currently in custody.

Sinclair retired in 2008 following a nineteen-year professional career playing at football clubs including Queens Park Rangers, West Ham United, Manchester City and Cardiff City.

EX-England star Trevor Sinclair has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and common assault after a pedestrian was found injured last night.

The 44-year-old was taken into custody after the crash on Clifton Avenue, St Annes.

The woman suffered minor injuries in the collision, which happened moments after police were called to an alleged disturbance at a property in Victory Boulevard, Lytham.

The driver, 44, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, common assault and criminal damage.

Before being taken into custody, Sinclair vented about "racist" police officers storming his home in a shocking social media outburst.

He tweeted: "Racist old bill all over the Sinclair residence again tonight. Thank god as a black man I've not fallen asleep again #Rascist."

"Officers attended the property and found a man had already left the property in his car, a Tesla X60d.

"A short time later officers found the vehicle which had been involved in a collision with a woman pedestrian on Clifton Drive.

"The driver, a 44 year old man, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, common assault and criminal damage.

"He is currently in custody."

Sinclair retired in 2008 following a nineteen-year professional career playing at football clubs including Queens Park Rangers, West Ham United, Manchester City and Cardiff City.

Who the f**k do footballers and ex footballers think they are??? Obviously we don't know the full story but it appears the police were called to a disturbance, Sinclair had already driven away from the scene whilst over the limit he then hits an innocent pedestrian with his car while drunk and then decides to blame the police for being racist???

Surprised by this as he always comes across as a sensible bloke..no doubt the full story will come out eventually, but it doesn't look good for him

idiot, seems to be a big trend with footballers and ex footballers drink driving, they for some reason think they are above the law. Its not as if they cant afford a taxi or even better just don't drink if you need to drive, its not difficult. Chuck the book at him.
My thoughts on the re-branding??

That could be the end of his BBC punditry career and possibly see the inside of a prison cell.
