SFA MAKE MICHAEL O'NEILL APPROACH

Sky Sports

Wednesday 14th November 2017

The Scottish FA has this morning made an official approach to the Irish FA for permission to speak to their manager Michael O’Neill, Sky Sports News understands.

It is also understood that Sunderland are set to make an approach to the IFA to speak to O’Neill as they step up their search for Simon Grayson’s replacement.

The 48-year-old guided Northern Ireland to Euro 2016 but missed out on World Cup qualification after losing a play-off to Switzerland. O'Neill and his two assistants with Northern Ireland, Jimmy Nicholl and Austin MacPhee, all live in Scotland.
