From talking to PR, DJ and ALL THE PLAYERS or anybody employed by the Club, they have just rung me to tell me .

Surely this isnt a good image for new investors as the media are a massive part of keeping fans interested and updated, less fans less money less investors

PR says they have caused major probs with his investors this week, by writing about the high court case.

Yeh i can understand that, but if the papers hadnt said anything then the fans wouldnt know anything about it. there just doing their job. Also by PR hiding it it makes the problem look worse when it eventually comes out.
The papers do post alot of crap tho.

I would have thought "TG" would have been aware there were major financial issues at the club.
What with PR flying back and fore to see him
with the begging bowl in his hands.

PR is very very clever i'm sure it wouldnt have come across this way.

More of a "look at this, a gold mine if invested in properly", which is very true this club could be very lucrative. In the right hands.

There's obvioulsy lots going on behind the scenes and certain things aren't too good.

Personally, I think the whole tax thing has been plown out of proportion. This isn't an uncommon thing - but in football it sells papers.

The echo has obvioulsy hurt the club, the only way to hurt them back is to not speak to them. People stop buying it.

Funny you should say that, I'm planning to go as I live only 5 mins away, the thought had crossed my mind even before I read this thread.

I would probably stick out like a sore thumb, as I don't normally attend these type of non-football events, only do the home games in general (200 home games & about 5 away  ), would be on my own and am known to be partial to taking my camera with me

P.S. The camera will stay at home but if you do see a bloke that looks like this:

Please don't throw me out :D

Dato is the Managing Director of a massive Malaysian property company. Ok, his own personal wealth isn't enormous but as an MD of a billion pound company, especially one with links with Vincent Tan, do you think PR really believes that they had no idea of City's finances?? Like they'd go into any deal blind?? I honestly believe it's not because of the investors, it's because he didn't want us finding out.

Why? - Had he not told them about the tax problems , or the court case , doesn't sound right to me......

So, if the Echo hadn't run this story, how long would Ridsdale have kept any financial issues from TG? If he had been up front with them, maybe the problems that have arisen with the investors wouldn't have been an issue. Or was PR trying to do things on the quiet?

Its those very financial problems which would make the deal attractive.

He can get the club on the cheap.

Thats how these guys get rich, they spot an opportunity and turn it into something worthwhile.

If he buys a majority stake in City for £12m and puts in another £10m to cover the debts, another £10m to get us up, he'll have a £50m + asset on his hands.

its also a challenge and a massive ego boost to take over and turn around a club like this.

Lets face it he won't have to spend on the ground (unles she wants to expand it and the infrastructure is in place to do this) and we already have a relatively valuable squad and excellent training facilities.

Its a great opportunity for someone with the resources to make it work (he says hopefully- Lol !)
