Warnock reveals over all he's Only Spent £1.5mill this year

Fri Nov 17, 2017 11:49 am

" Warnock reveals over all he's Only Spent £1.5mill this Season "

"We spent £3m or so on ten players, but we got £1.5m back so net wise we only spent £1.5m"

"There’s not many clubs in our league who’ve done that. But I wouldn’t swap money."

Friday 17th November 2017

NEIL WARNOCK:

"I’ve not really had the need to speak to Vincent Tan or Chairman Dalman recently. If I thought there was a player who could benefit us I would speak to Mehmet and discuss it and then to Vincent with our transfer committee, but it’s not come to that."

"I’m very happy with what I’ve got. Don’t forget, 10 new signings coming in, knitted well quickly and we’ll get a few more answers in the next few weeks and it’s only then we’ll make a decision."

"It could be that we lose a couple to bring one or two in, player swaps or things like that. I don’t spend money for the sake of it."

"We spent £3m or so on ten players, but we got £1.5m back so net wise we only spent £1.5m - there’s not many clubs in our league who’ve done that. But I wouldn’t swap money. That’s the nice thing for me from where I’m sat. I wouldn’t swap many in my dressing room for others in others’ teams."

All this goes to show is what a wonderful job our manager has done! :notworthy:

Vincent Tan must be creaming himself with those figures and our current League position. City are finally on an upward journey and he finally has a manager who can, uhm, manage, whilst he (Tan) gets the finances sorted out

This may be overly positive for some, but Cardiff City FC seems to be on the mend :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

First manager Tan has had who can get him value for money I think.

He has done a good job in the transfer market in fairness - does anyone have the breakdowns of the ins and out as I thought he spent 2.7 million on Tomlin alone so thought it was a lot more to be honest.

I do like the way he says he only spent 1.5 million must go to the same school as other previous managers where they seem to forget about wages - no wonder we in the shit

I think we've reduced the wages massively. Noone would've been on about 20k I'd imagine to NML being under 10k ?
Warnock has done brilliant and should only have praise IMO

Be pleased at that Annis, some of these foreign owners never get it right then run off into the sunset leaving the club screwed over.

Warnock has been brilliant in fairness, hasn't spent much but where he has really been backed by the club is allowing him to get deals done early, new contracts for new players and turning down big offers for the likes of Zohore and Morrison, I think a year ago they would have been gone.

Warnock sold Saadi and Huws to recoup his £1.5m against his £3m spend :bluescarf:

Fair play a few of us moaned at the time about the sale of Idriss Saadi, but Warnock was very shrewd once again Carl :thumbright: :bluebird:
