EVERTON TO APPOINT ALLARDYCE
28/11/17
Everton are set to appoint Sam Allardyce as their new manager following progress in talks on Tuesday, according to Sky sources.
Sky Sports News reported on Monday that the Toffees had reopened discussions with the 63-year-old about succeeding Ronald Koeman, after original dialogue broke down two weeks ago.
An agreement could not be reached then but, after Everton failed with an attempt for Watford boss Marco Silva, progress was made over the key aspect - the length of Allardyce’s contract - earlier this week.
Sky Sports News understands Allardyce is likely to be joined by former Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare, who was his right-hand man during the ill-fated four-month spell with England.
