Mendez-lange has got me thinking, who's the fastest bluebird I've ever seen?
Bellamy and Earnie we're absolutely rapid off the mark but I'm not sure I've seen someone gain as much ground on defender who already has a few yards on him (and that's with the ball), as NML. It's so exciting to watch on the break!
Thoughts?

Dave Bennett for me now he was a flyer for City in the 80s. Bob Hatton could shift aswell for a little fella.

Johnny Williams used to known as the flying postman he was so quick - he was a postie before he made it as a footballer. I remember Kevin Bartlett too and he was very fast.

Wasn't John Williams known as 'The Flying Postman' in his day and win some kind of sprint challenge on TV?

Definitely Darcy Blake. He was in the bar before the rest of the team had showered.

For me either Peter Sayer, (remember his goal against Spurs. It was on the opening sequence on MOTD for the whole season?) or Ronnie Bird. Trouble with Ronnie Bird though was he was so fast he often could not slow down quick enough and used to run past the ball!!!
