Crystal Palace Not Interested In Liverpool Attacker: 3 Destinations For Him Including Cardiff City

Sunday 10th December 2017

Crystal Palace have cooled their interest in Liverpool striker, Danny Ings.

The 25-year-old is currently training with Liverpool and has also featured for the Reds’ Under-23 side, following his recovery from a knee injury which has kept him out of action since October last year. With the current Liverpool starting eleven glittered with attacking stars, it doesn’t look likely that he will get to play in the first-team at the club.

The striker is now set to make a move in January to try and put his career back on track. Following his success at AFC Bournemouth and Burnley where the forward collectively scored over 50 goals, the English player made a dream switch to Liverpool in the summer of 2015. It remains to be seen which clubs opt for his services in January with growing concerns over his fitness.

Let’s take a look at three possible destinations for the striker to help him reignite his career.

Cardiff City

The Welsh club are currently fighting for the league with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Championship. They are in second place, just four points off leaders, Wolves in the league standings. Cardiff City has scored 30 goals in 20 league matches which is far less than Wolves, who has scored 41 goals in this campaign. The Bluebirds are in need of a striker in January so that they can fight for the Championship or at the very least, secure a second-placed finish which will hand them an automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Danny Ings may have been out with a long-term injury but the striker still knows how to find the back of the net. His goal-scoring at Burnley prior to joining Liverpool was sensational and he can be an ideal asset for the Bluebirds if they decide to secure his services when the transfer window opens next month.

Burnley

It would be a fairytale story in the making! What better way to rekindle your career than go back to your old hunting ground and find your goal-scoring touch? Burnley has made a great start to their Premier League campaign under Sean Dyche which has seen them sit comfortably in the seventh position in the league standings but they are still struggling to score enough goals. The Clarets have just netted 14 times in 15 league matches, so there’s definitely room for improvement.

A possible January return for Danny Ings could work wonders for Sean Dyche’s men as they look to attain a top half finish this season.

West Bromwich Albion

The Baggies have slipped down to 17th place in the Premier League table and most of it is down to their inability to find the back of the net this season. Alan Pardew has recently been hired as their new manager but even the Frenchman has failed to turn the tide so far. The West Midlands club are in real danger of relegation after having scored just 12 league goals so far.

Pardew can do with a Danny Ings to spearhead his team as he tries to save West Brom’s season by avoiding relegation at all costs.

Problem with these type of loans is that Liverpool will only loan him to teams who will start him in every game just to get him fully fit.

It will probably be of more benefit to the player than the team he goes too!!

Wouldn't mind Ben Woodburn mind!!

Ben Woodburn and Harry Wilson would be awesome and benefit Wales with them getting first team football.
