Neil Warnock opens up on special relationship with Cardiff City's 'unsung hero' Sean Morrison - and compares him with legendary Arsenal skipper Tony Adams -

Neil Warnock has used some 39 players in 55 Championship games since becoming boss at Cardiff City. Only one man has played in them all.
So it seems strange to think now that Sean Morrison was being tipped to be one of the casualties of Warnock’s arrival.
Morrison was the Bluebirds skipper when the Yorkshireman took over last October and he remains captain as he returns to former club Reading on Monday night. Only the armband and his place in the side sits a lot better with most now than it did before.
Perhaps it’s being harsh on the centre-back but, having been signed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from the Royals in a £4m deal following the club’s relegation from the Premier League in 2014, he had struggled to consistently convince.
Yet it’s now clear that out of the 14 players signed by the Norwegian, Morrison is one of the very few – and only three still at the club – to have proven worth the paperwork, let alone the cash.
But even then, there was the suspicion the defender would not be one for Warnock, especially when Sol Bamba was brought in. Indeed, even if he kept his place, it seemed unlikely he would keep the armband.
And yet he has undoubtedly gone from fall-guy in the eyes of some to the manager’s go-to guy, the Yorkshireman’s first pick and showing all the credentials to join Sheffield United’s Chris Morgan as a Warnock captain of a Premier League promotion-winning side.
The player described by the veteran boss as his unsung hero in his first year at the club, is very much on song.
