About Hull City

Hull City Association Football Club is a professional football club in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Founded in 1904, the club plays in the Championship, the second tier of English football.

In 2007–08, they achieved promotion to the top flight of English football for the first time in their history by winning the Championship play-off Final at Wembley Stadium. Their highest league finish was in 2013–14, when they finished 16th in the table, a season in which they also reached the final of the FA Cup.

Surprised at that, despite the late kick off.

They’ve had a couple of good results recently as well, four points in their last two games.

Stephen, I can finally see a 25,000 crowd there on Saturday, brilliant and it would be perfect for City to get the 3pts for our fans :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Ned, they might bring a few more as they can pay on the day, but as I said in another topic, they were always poorly supported years ago when they travelled down South.

Hull manager not long given his pre match talk.

Sounds like they have major injury problems as well so be interesting Saturday.

Hope we get Morrison, Bryson and maybe Gunners back.

We need to perform over 90 min for this one.

I'll go City 4-0 hull

Nathan Blakes prediction for Hull clash

Thursday 14th December 2017

Hull City have got a new manager in Nigel Adkins, who I really like. But tactically he's not in Warnock's league.

Unless Nigel has severely improved in that aspect, Warnock should have the upper hand this Saturday evening.

I remember there was a huge uproar when Adkins was replaced by Mauricio Pochettino at Southampton. People were saying that was a disgrace, but just look at the trajectories of the two managers since.

So despite the new manager bounce — which can fizzle out quickly — I still see Hull as under-strength compared to Cardiff, I believe the Bluebirds will win 3-1.

By the way, if anyone out there wonders why I only ever predict wins... that's because this season Cardiff truly look capable of beating anyone. They won't lose more than eight or 10 games. This is something special.

Cardiff have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last eight league matches against Hull (W1 D2 L5).

Hull have won their last three league matches against Cardiff by an aggregate score of 8-0 – they won most recently 2-0 at the KC Stadium in January 2016.

Neil Warnock has collected three points from a possible 24 in his last eight league meetings with Hull (P8 W0 D3 L5), facing them with four different clubs in that time (QPR, Crystal Palace, Leeds and Rotherham).

Since joining the club in January 2017, no Hull City player has been involved in as many league goals as Kamil Grosicki (13 – six goals, seven assists).

Hull have lost nine points to goals conceded in the last five minutes of Championship games this season – five more than any other side. Cardiff, meanwhile have won four points from goals scored in the final five minutes with only Bristol City and Ipswich winning more (5).

Nigel Adkins hasn’t faced Neil Warnock since October 2012, when his Southampton side faced Warnock’s Leeds in the League Cup at Elland Road – Leeds won 3-0.
