Cardiff City Fan / 50 years of following Cardiff City Says

At Cardiff City Stadium

Lee Beames:

I have no time for Vincent tan at all after what he did to the kit.

However now without tans money keeping the club going week in week out we would be in Dire straits.

I also agree with Gar H Parry regarding the pampering away fans coming to the Cardiff City stadium it has to stop by Wayne Nash, look after our fans first.

Why is it the away fans are so far away from the Home singing section?

When we go to other stadiums this doesn’t happen.

The club need to sort this to get the atmosphere back.

The stewards and police need to remember they are there to help out and police the fans when required, Not stop the enjoyment of fans who pay over the top prices and loose days of work to watch the football team .

You are slowly killing the beautiful game with your excessive policing. Step back and take a deep breath before you act.

Many of Lee's comments I totally agree with :thumbright:

For the last 5 years to much money has been spent on away fans coming to Cardiff City, plus they can stand etc
They are pampered and our atmosphere needs to improve ASAP.

Penny, Bun and 2017 !

Come to mind, can't live in the past (even if I like to remember myself).

Real events are now and hopefully in the future our kids who follow City will harp back to this time??

Ian Hallam Lee Beames you say we would be in dire straights without Tans money. At the time Tan came out with the rebrand Portsmouth were on their way down to the dungeon league. Now what 5 years later they are just outside the play offs of League one and could be playing us next season. Yeah we could have followed them but we could have easily followed them back. It felt dire at the time but if we stuck together I believe we would have come back. Shame certain sell out did not think that way. Has anyone seem these guys lately?

Lee Beames Ian Hallam Possibly right you may be! But also many former league clubs are still down there.

Thomas Fish In regards to atmosphere. Loads of teams away fans are based at the opposite side to the “singing sections”
Liverpool & Palace just to name two of the premier leagues best atmospheres are like this.
And the atmosphere I think has been getting better and better since our first season back in the championship. Vince Alm and the boys doing a good job

Ian Hallam Yes and quite a few have come back. In fact one went on to win the Premier.

Lee Beames So if tan leaves now and we go out, Do you really think we will come back and our thousands of missing fans.? There will be 2 thousand again mate.

Do all relatively new stadium have home fans next to away fans probably not As Councils have big say as they issue the safety certificate? We are not unique in fans being far away from home end fans! How we treat away fans has no bearing on home fans it's down to Nash and club ect ect to relax things for us. As for atmosphere it entirely depends on the game exciting game better atmosphere! had plenty games on TV sound like a morgue :old:

I echo this , needs to be addressed by the supporters club and the club itself .

We need an atmosphere back in the ground and to make it an intimidating place to come to .

Apart for a few games city never was an intimidating ground If is scared the opposition players why did we spend so long in the lower leagues As far as I am concerned the more away supporters the better for our finances and that will improve atmosphere Been to many ground where the singing section is away from the opposition fans Stop blaming the ground we had some wonderful atmospheres at Wales games there

The harsh fact is this: during our promotion season under Malky we averaged 23,000 and yet this season we are pleased to get 17,000. Simply put we've lost 6,000 fans a game.

They did not care about Red or Blue, just pure Glory hunters Neil.

And where are our 25,000 crowds now, you said if Our club was winning they would return?
Top 3 of the Championship for 5 months.
Cheap/Cheap tickets.

They will return to watch the Opposition Man United/Liverpool/Arsenal/Spurs/Man City etc etc
Not returning for Cardiff City and when I slated them a few years ago I got stick, well I have been proved 100% right, not the type of fans I like.

Cardiff City is who they should be turning up to support, not the opposition :bluescarf: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Not by much at all Neil and way down on when Malky got us promoted.

First the away support coming here has doubled.
Second We have reduced prices massively.

And 3rd the main point City being Second,Top and in the Top Three for Five months, even my local village the crowds would go up

Why are City,Neil Warnock and Vince Alm continually begging for bigger crowds and even stating how let down they are?
Some honesty Neil please?

City have 260,000 so called fans registered, where are they?

1.2mill people with in 10 miles of Cardiff and of course including Cardiff, with NO competition?

In the many season in the 80s we had less than 120,000 spectators for the whole season some years less than 100,000 We can do that now in 5 to 6 games We have come a long way and our catchment area was no much smaller than it is now . Some people think that was the good old days
