BREAKING: ' NEIL WARNOCK UPDATES CARDIFF CITY FANS '
Will Wildschut be available to face Sunderland?
NEIL WARNOCK:
"Wildschut will be in the squad if he lands at Cardiff in the fog!”
The latest injury news from Neil Warnock
NEIL WARNOCK:
"I’d like to say injuries are improving but I don’t think it’s much different to last week. Bryson and Kadeem are training but it’s probably a bit too soon, but longer terms like Peltier, Matt Connolly, Aron Gunnarsson have no chance. We’ve got to get on with what we’ve got. The good thing is the illness has gone out of the camp, Rallsy, Bamba and Bennett - who was a bit below last week even though he played - are all firing again so at least we have a few more options.”
Warnock on Gary Madine and Lewis Grabban
NEIL WARNOCK:
"We’ve not given up on anybody, but don’t know about those particular names being top of the list, we’ve got a number of options we’ve been speaking about."
"I’m not saying I’m optimistic but we have to be positive and hope they want to come and join what is a very good club. Players do what’s best for themselves but when you look at the league table, players would rather come and fight at the top end rather than for survival. I’ve had it both ways. We’re looking for better than we have, so it’s not dozens we’re looking at for certain areas, there’s only one or two like that in areas that fit our budget and wage bill and we have to get them on board if we can as quickly as possible.”

NEIL WARNOCK:
Neil Warnock on Yanic Wildschut
"Everything should have gone through. He’s someone I’ve liked for a long time."
"I actually tried to buy him before Norwich did but the fee was far more than we would have paid so we didn’t have a chance. But I’ve always liked him and his attitude and versatility will help us in our situation. It’s a loan until the end of the season with an option, if we went up we’d take him automatically and if we don’t we’ll discuss it, but we’re glad to have him on board. He can play wide, he can play up front as well - I saw him do that a couple of times last season and he did very well - at the moment we’re so thin on the ground in that area it helps, and it will suit how we play, he’s our type, he’ll run at people, he’s exciting, I like watching him, a decent lad and he fits the bill.”
Neil Warnock on captain Sean Morrison
NEIL WARNOCK:
"He’s my captain and leader and I miss him. Sol’s done well and Bruno’s back to form, so they’ve got the consistency and Sean underlines that. Morrison is like John McGrath, you won’t remember him, but he’s my era. No nonsense, not pretty on the eye, but the first name on the manager’s team sheet.”
