First and foremost, Sunderland will be playing league 1 football next season. They were absolutely dreadful. We didn’t have to get out of first gear. Shows that without any superstars in the team, Coleman is a bang average manager.

Paterson - 4 in 14 for a “defender” who missed the first 3 months of the season. Give this bit a full pre season. Thought he played superbly as the dog in midfield yesterday. Not giving them any time on the ball to get a move going. Morrison makes a huge difference in the air but Paterson is starting to settle and looks like a 10-15 goal a season player at the back which we haven’t had since Scott Young!

Morrison is vital - Last season I thought he was a calamity waiting to happen at the back. He still isn’t brilliant when someone is running at him but he is an absolute colossus at times. Not many teams will enjoy having to come up against him and Bamba (who was excellent as per usual) will be a three horse race between Bamba, Morrison and Ralls for player of the season if they keep up ther good form.

Wildschutt - looks very promising. Very strong and the ball always seemed to stay at his feet despite 3 or 4 Sunderland players trying to hack him down. Think he will be at his most effective when teams attack us, giving him time and space to drive into. The fact that his wife had just given birth and he really wanted to play shows that he is hungry to do well here.

Won’t be too disappointed if we lose on Tuesday. Look what a cup run has done for Bristol City. Bigger fish to fry than the F.A cup this season. We were lucky enough to get to a final nearly 10 years ago. Think a big defeat against Man City could be a massive dent in our players confidence.

Morrison has always been underrated and again shows that your comments about city players confirms we dont know much about who is good and who is bad.
Coleman has only just inherited this team and shambles of a club its not his team in the sense he has brought in his own players so how can you judge him as a bang average manager? ridiculous comment.

Not sure if you can blame cup run on Bristol's poor form. They have had 3 successive league defeats, and I think that included Wolves & Villa. We had 4 losses on the bounce, and that was certainly not due to any cup run.
