A virtually full house is guaranteed by the home team, with the the South Wales club selling less than half their allocation.

Steve Evans has urged Mansfield's fans to get behind their team when Cardiff visit in the FA Cup on Tuesday

Mansfield Town manager Steve Evans has called on the club's supporters to turn the One Call Stadium into a cauldron of noise for the FA Cup third-round replay with Cardiff City on Tuesday night.

The two sides fought out a goalless draw in the first meeting at the Cardiff City Stadium 10 days ago and there is a huge prize awaiting the winners with a home tie against runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City.

STEVE EVANS:

"We're going to be backed by a fantastic support, as we normally are here at the One Call Stadium," said Evans, whose team currently sit seventh in League Two after Saturday's goalless draw at Cambridge United.

"I think it's going to be the best attendance in the home end for any game this season so that's a fantastic response from the Mansfield public.

"Come on - if your granny's not been out for a while, bring her here. I'm sure she's got Mansfield right through the middle of her, or [bring] your grandad.

"Let's have a sell-out in the home end. Let's make sure there's not a spare seat in the home end. Let the kids have a late day to school. Not because we need 200 tickets sold, but because we need the stadium rocking and rolling.

"Every throw-in, every decision, let's appeal for it, let's contest it, not just myself and the assistant manager. Let's have everybody behind the team, trying to get a positive result."

Cardiff, meanwhile, head into the clash on the back of a convincing 4-0 victory at home to struggling Sunderland in the Championship, a result that leaves Neil Warnock's team third in the table.

Opta stats

The Bluebirds will be visiting Mansfield for the first time since October 2002, when the Welsh side won 1-0 in third tier league game.

Mansfield have lost eight of their last nine FA Cup replays against teams from a higher division (W1), including each of the last four.

Cardiff have lost five of their last six FA Cup Third Round replays, with the only win in that run coming in January 2010 against Bristol City.

The Stags haven't won a FA Cup home match against a side from the second tier since January 1969, when they beat Sheffield United 2-1.

Charlie's prediction

Cardiff are a physical side but this is tough one and the intrigue comes from the managers, Steve Evans and Neil Warnock, and I could see one of these two managers picking up a card!

I can see this being a very feisty affair and I would expect plenty of bookings in a scrappy affair, with Cardiff's ability to bring quality off the bench seeing them through in extra time.

Charlie predicts: Cardiff to qualify in extra time (9/1 with Sky Bet) :ayatollah:

Definitely do not need extra time in this, need to score early quieten the home fans and put it to bed by half time hopefully, need to start really fast and get straight at them, get them at Championship pace straight from the start. :bluescarf:

This is City we're talking about :laughing5: , no doubt we will start slow, hopefully settle into the game by HT and kill them off second half.

Play Tomilin and Zohore two wingers and go for it at the start all out attack, great if we win, if we lose one less game to worry about, definitely don' let it go into extra time !!!
