Stephendavid:
I was there lads, before the game around 80 mansfield attempted to attack us in brunells bar(asking where annis was the fools lol)4 coppers stopped them...after the match they were waiting bang outside the ground for us but didnt do much apart from shout an scream at us!Our bus was parked at brunells an the police left us (10 of us) to walk up there on our own, mansfield were waiting 100 of them at least an seeing they jad the numbers advantage they steamed in hurting 2 of our lads(not badly an 2 others with scrapes). Then the police turned up in droves.....the bus broke down so we were stranded up there until midnight when 9 got taxis and 7 stayed overnight travelling back today

The police were clueless up there!!We came out the ground all the coaches were there but not ours lol so we went down the lane by the away end and they tried attacking us by the crossroads twice but luckily we had enough with us to stand our ground and they just stood there mouthing off behind the ob.We made a mistake leaving the bus where it was so cant grumble really mate. Not overly impressed with them mind only attacked us when they had the numbers

Trouble before and afterwards Mansfield/Cardiff game

Before the game a mob of 80 Mansfield fans picking on small groups of Cardiff, thankfully only handbags.

After the game Mansfield fans threw bottles at Cardiff fans.

Then 50-60 Mansfield attacked 10 Cardiff hurting 4 Cardiff (thankfully not bad)

Tubbs: "Is there really a Man's Field, Edward?"

Edward: "Yes Tubbs".

Tubbs: "Is it like Swan Sea?"

Edward: "Sadly yes Tubbs. Yet another parochial Shithole disguised by a mildly nice name that are also shit at the foot of the ball".

Tubbs: "Shall we burn them?"

Edward: "Yes Tubbs. But warn Greggs and Rentokil first."

I think this is made up!

Fella the major trouble was away from the ground, most on the supporters bus etc wouldn't have seen it,there was also skirmishes at the cross roads and bang outside the ground at the end, with mainly cardiff on the train an independent travel defending themselves

Cheers Stephen :thumbright:

Ignore NeathBluebird came on here making out it was lies, then did a disappearing act

It use to go off every time I went to Mansfield, 9 times in all.

Not every fan sees it, so then you get the odd one who then makes out its a lie.

I didn't see anything, but there were lots of police outside the ground after the game who gave the impression it went off and they advised us to stay back and wait 5 minutes until it cleared. In the end, we kept our colours hidden, kept our heads down and casually walked back to the car without uttering a word.

I've been on hundreds of away trips and I can safely say, I have never been made to feel so unwelcome as at Mansfield last night. The place is a dump and the people there seem frustrated, disgruntled low lives who didn't achieve anything in life and couldn't manage to move out of their dump.

It seems to happen quite a lot these days clubs like mansfield wanting to have a go and trying to make a name for themselves should have tried a long time a go but we where to good for them then .im not encouraging anybody to get involved these days but what do you do when wankers like Mansfield fancy there chances so they can say they got a result what if city had taken the full allocation it might have been a diffrent ball game but like I said I'm not encouraging any body to go down that road anymore .in all fairness to millwall away fans are turning up in big numbers there drinking in London bridge but at the same time knowing they are a safe distant away and happy to be behind a police escort if you want a go at them go into there heartland but they want because that's a diffrent ball game we have had away fans turning up in canton but I don't know what they are expecting

Totally agree mate, they seemed quite young so probably as you saud trying to make a name for themselves.annis the 1 stroke of luck we did have as we boarded the bus the police left us no escort out of town nothing just left us to it and the clutch went!if mansfield had doubled back or had to go that route home or whatever we'd have been sitting ducks and got absolutely hammered by them, was glad to get out of there in the end

I bet, that was very close Stephen.
