From depths of despair over Christmas now flying again

Sat Jan 20, 2018 11:04 am

Big cup game bringing a feel good factor.

Tan backing NW with two good loan signings in positions where players with quality were needed and got.

Players coming back from injury especially big man at the back resulting in two wins and a draw, two clean sheets and 8 goals scored.

Still on the look out for new players proving Tan is continuing to back NW.

Third place knowing that with a win tonight we will go joint 2nd or maybe even outright 2nd.

Worzels seemingly dropping off the pace.

Ralls and Hoilett in good form. Zohore picks it up and we will be flying.

Doomsayers have thankfully shut the f**k up.

Ledley injured so Derby can’t possibly keep up their form.

In NW I trust.

Good post except for the Ledley bit! :laughing6:
But yeah, feel good factor back especially IF we can nick Grabban or similar. Need to start picking up a few consistent wins now.

Not sure what has changed though apart from a great cup draw against Man C. Our current league form still shows played 5, won one, lost four. I think a good cup run always makes for a good feeling around a football club, and I am not sure why so many posters were hoping we would lose our first match against Mansfield. I know fans were concerned it may take our eye of the bread and butter league games, but just reading this forum and seeing the queues at the ticket office shows the interest that a cup run can add to the season. A cup run surely gives players added confidence, as well as helping the club on the finance front.
We need to get at least a draw at Sheffield Wed later to make sure what has been a good week does not end up feeling a little flat.

Well a home win over the worse team in the league and an away win against a team 2 divisions below us I would not put that down as flying again.

Still I guess there is nothing wrong looking positive. However I prefer to have my feet firmly on the ground than my head in cloud cockoo land.

I don't see how our first league win in 5 games suddenly means we are flying again either. Does'nt surprise me though, a win and we are the best in the league, a defeat and we are doomed. If we win today, things will be looking on the up. A defeat and we will have had 3 points out of a possible 18. Think I would wait a while yet.

I just mean the feel good factor around the club. We aren’t suddenly in great form although look much more of a good passing unit with the two new signings.

Asking if Warnock has lost the dressing room. Lots about us after four losses. Plenty about Tan as you alluded to.

Fair enough but I say that is a load of bollocks

Looks like honest answers to questions asked. Would'nt class those answers as anything more than an opinion, certainly no moaning there.

Third in the table is flying high.

In comparison to where we were after the Preston game we are definitely flying high. The general feel not the form.

But aren't we a lot higher than you predicted at the start of the season? So why keep your feet on the ground, enjoy it.
