Walter Smith is odds on at the minute with Malky 8/1, although that does not mean anything much.

Tony, Over all the amount of money Malky brought in through his promotion etc we received over £140mill and had our final payment this season.

Plus the way our club was run by Tan/ 6 CEO'S etc Our club was run so badly off the pitch that we lost beyond money every season nearly.
The club was bleeding money, more than any time in our history.

If it was not for the monies we received for promotion, we really would of been in more than dire straights a fact :thumbright:

I don't 'love' Tan but I respect him for keeping Cardiff City afloat over the past 7 years. He got the rebrand wrong no one argues with that.

I hope MM gets the Scotland job it would be an excellent way for him to find a way back into the footballing world.

However, he didn't bring in more money than he spent. We lost £13m in the PL season and have lost money every season since even with the Parachute payments. If you are going to give MM the credit for the PL money then you also have to put the blame for the lost opportunities since on his shoulders.

The real 'facts' are that there was plenty of blame to go around, from Tan, MM, the players, Borley and the rest of the board of directors.

We screwed the PL up big time but that said we wouldn't have corrected the rebrand without it. I have wrestled with this dilemma many times and although it goes against every grain in my body relegation was probably the best thing in the long run. What we should have done was appoint Neil Warnock at least 3 years earlier than we did.
