Barrie Jones, awesome on the right wing, remember him being one of the first players to chest the ball down. Great player, great memories.

Ian Gibson.
A tenacious, tough tackling, skilful midfielder who would grace any of the City sides I have seen over the last 45 years, including this current team.
Warnock would have loved him!

I think it was either Gary O'neil or Jason Koumas during the loan spells they had with us.
I was born in 93 and started watching Cardiff in 96 ( I think )

These were the first to impress me with players like Gibson and King coming a little later.

Yep, Peter King my earliest recollection of a 'class' player, although I idolised all City's players back than!

Quality player, and if my memory is correct, we were the only league club he played for. I think he spent virtually his entire career with us. Scored one of the best goals I witnessed at NP against Middlesbrough, but we still lost 4-3.

I think you'll find that Peter King was with the club long before Toshack and Clark.

I honestly cannot ever remember him having a bad game and in this instance I don't believe my age is clouding my memories. He was truly a special player and a wonderful professional.

Yeah I know but as a very young kid and playing centre forward for my school team in Grangetown, the two strikers impressed me long before the subtleties of the great Peter King.
