" REAL INTENT? "

If Cardiff City have any real intent of achieving promotion automatically then the next two home games Bolton home this Tuesday night and Boro home this Saturday coming, then we must be winning both these type of home games :thumbright:

The real hard work has been done by winning away at Leeds and drawing away at Millwall, this def has to be followed up by getting six home points :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Sat Feb 3 Leeds United 1 Cardiff City 3 :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright: Crowd 30,534 Away (624 )

Friday Feb 9 Millwall 1 Cardiff City 1 Crowd 13,204 Away(880 )

Tuesday Feb 13th Cardiff City v Bolton W Crowd Away( )

Sat Feb 17 Cardiff City v Middlesbrough Crowd Away ( )

Wez :thumbright: Thats what I am saying for me winning at Leeds and drawing at Millwall was good and the toughest games we did well in, so we must now follow up with 2 home wins if we have any intention of going up automatically :bluebird: :bluebird:

Bolton we should expect 3 points. However Boro won't be easy at all. I don't think we can say to expect to win this one. Pulis is a good manager and they have excellent players. 4 points form these too is OK for me.

Away games upcoming are very tough too.....

No game is easy in the Championship, but if City intend to go up Automatic, they have to win their home games and now get max points v Bolton/Boro otherwise we will be looking at the play offs as our best bet :thumbright:

If u can’t win these type of games, then Top 2 is out if the question .

I don't think the play offs are guaranteed yet. I hope we can avoid injuries to key players, and it would be nice to see our strikers starting to hit the net on a regular basis.

Agree with the OP that anything less than 6 points from the next two games would be disappointing. However, the teams around us will inevitably trip each other up as they play each other and it is still ours to take advantage of...

What is needed right now is to hold our nerve as a club and as supporters. I didn't see last night's match for personal reasons but I understand that City weren't at their best but could/should have had a last minute penalty for the 3 points?

Still a third of the season to go and technically the table is spot on right now, as we've now played an equal number of games as those around us. No matter what happens today, we cannot be caught by those around us and we will have another chance to stretch out the 4 point gap on Tuesday night in front of another sell out crowd that are there to watch Cardiff City rather than the opposition ;) :thumbright:

No they are def not Steve, but we should be aiming for Top 2 and if you are aiming for that, then u have to win the type of next home games :thumbright:

Agree with a lot of the Chris, but we need to win our home games and pick up points on our travels like last night and if we do then play-offs guaranteed and prob 2nd place would be ours :thumbright:

6pts for me from our next two home games if we want Automatic :thumbright: :bluebird:

Yes i would have been well happy with 4 points from these 2 games although i did think we would get a draw at Leeds and a win at Millwall, but the signs are starting to look good, new players brought in and players returning from injury should help the cause so it is vital we win our next 2 home games because every game is going to be tough from now on. :ayatollah:

Have a nasty feeling about Bolton - is the kind of game we tend to slip up on. I'd be happy with four points from the two personally. If we can keep chipping away on 2 points average per game we'll be in the mix for sure. :ayatollah:

This league is all about going on little runs, we started well, wurzels had one, derby and now villa and Fulham. Maybe it’s our turn for another now? If we have a hope of automatic we need one now, else playoffs for us. Even that’s no guarantee, Bristol could see themselves out if the top 6 a few weeks ago they were knocking in 2nd spot. :bluescarf:

I feel all our games are winnable up to the time we go into some 6 pointers starting against Derby on the 18th March. Yes we have the Wurzels before then but out of all the 6 pointers we have remaining I believe that is the easiest of the lot.

By the time we come to play Derby I'm hoping that Madine has settled in, Zohore is back to somewhere near his best, NML has worked out his medication and Gunnarson knows he is going nowhere and starts playing again.

Well said and I agree! :thumbright:

I think as supporters, we all think City can/will win every game and it's disappointing when we don't; but the reality is we're in a tough tough Division and we are going to have to battle to the end

All 'winnable' games up to Brizzle City and even that is doable given their current form. The reality may turn out to be a little different but I have confidence in the manager to get his team firing again and to make the right decisions if players (old and new) start letting him down

With a couple of returnees in the next month our so we could ave fresh impetus just when we need it! :ayatollah: :bluebird:
