Steve McClaren to buy Cardiff City ?

Sun Feb 11, 2018 8:30 am

McClaren trying to buy a football club and has ‘serious cash’ from mystery backers
Former Manchester United and England boss is understood to be interested in purchasing a Championship side.

Would Tan now sell or obviously wait until end of season ?

A lot would depend on what was offered.

He’s from up north isn’t he ? I imagine one of the Yorkshire sides most likely

Always wary when you have a failed manager and a consortium to hand offering to buy a club

I've always found it strange that these multi-billionaires are buying championship clubs. surely a smart business idea would be buy a small club (e.g. Wrexham) and be able to develop the club and run it financially proper. rather than buying a championship club and throwing cash in the hopes of premier league football

For the mega rich it’s not a business investment, it’s a play thing

Yep, all reports claiming it's Leeds Utd :thumbright:

Tan won't get all his money back surely if sold now as worth less than if in premier? It's just wrong time to sell if not to buy aswell, the gamble is with both parties and someone could lose serious money. :old:
