Personally I would never go to Leeds again due to price of tickets, not an excuse but a reason why and I also pick my away games. I think maybe that Villa away will see a good turnout, Brentford also and Sheff Utd aswell, potentially Hull depending how we stand in the table.

Dean, I 100% agree its not cheap to travel, but it was in them days still expensive as wages were lower. But it has not stopped other clubs away fans still travelling. WE have lost big time our hardcore away support in the last 7 years.
Leeds every clubs fans are fuming with as they are out and out robbers at £39 a ticket
But your Readings away etc at £20 a ticket we should always sell out

Do you think because we have played the same teams for years makes a difference? When I book away I tend to try and do ground I haven't done yet - There isn't many so I have done some more than 3 or 4 times.

I think your spot on, have said it many times. People like to go to a new ground. Cant think of many grounds I haven't done in the championship, even those that come down from the prem ive usually been to.
And as others said its a lot more expensive than it used to be, yes wages were less then but they do not compare to the inflation of an away day which has gone through the roof and if people are paying big money most people like a new ground to do to, not the same ones we have the past 10 years.
Pompey, Sunderland going to new grounds I think?
Did our away attendances improve when we went up and had new grounds?
ill be honest I have very little interest in what other teams take away.

Luke,
Can’t fans like you just give praise to other clubs fans, who really turn out in numbers
Pompey have been in the lowervdivodions for nearly 5 years now.
Plus Pompey fans have never stopped going.
Bristol Rovers, Plymouth etc they keep going.
As to Sunderland always kept a massive loyal support.
Clubs like Bradford, Grimsby, Lincoln etc have been in the lower Leagues for years.
Luke so would we take 6,000 plus fans for a midd table League one away(div 3) away game if we had not say played at say Walsall's ground if they gave us that many tickets?

I don't feel the need to praise other clubs to be honest no. It's impressive yes but I don't really care about them to much it I'm honest. Attendances to me don't mean much other than a club making a bit of extra money.
No I don't think we would, I've been to Walsall it's a dump I think our days of huge away support have done.
I do think if we had a lower league club away in the cup like walsall we would take a decent following but not on a regular basis.

I don't attend home games anymore as you are aware, I try and get to as many aways as possible but money is the issue.
its usually £50.00 for bus & ticket ( sometimes more ) then its the cost of alcohol, food. I usually spend about £150.00 on an away day so going every other week isn't possible.
Some will say go by supports club buses to make it cheaper etc but I want to go with the same group of lads so its difficult.
I don't knock any other teams away support - In fact I like to keep an eye out for them also.

Tell you what Annis put a proper title on them and I won't need to click on them then
It's like the random away section pictures, I have zero interest in them, I'm sure others do but if they had a normal title like Derby count away to wolves I'll be sure not to click on them

I understand a thread about attendances and what can be done to improve them. But it seems multiple threads every week going over the same ground again and again. Nothing we can do as fans if people don't want to go to games. This is an issue for the club.
