Phil Parkinson in confident mood

Madine was on target the last time these two sides met, with Bolton going on to secure a 2-0 win at the Macron Stadium.
However, despite seeing his key striker switch allegiances, Trotters boss Phil Parkinson remains confident that his side can get a result.

Phil Parkinson:

“We’ve beaten them not that long ago, we know what they’re all about and we know exactly how they’re going to play
“They’re a good side and Neil [Warnock] has done a fantastic job there, probably on resources that are not as much as that top six.
“So we know what we’ve got to do and we’re looking forward to it.
“We’ve had a few weeks, in terms of no midweek games, to prepare for this run of games, mentally and physically, we’re ready and I’m looking forward to seeing us perform in Cardiff.”

I suppose he has to convince himself and, by default, his players; but I'll be hugely disappointed if City come out of this game with anything other than 3 points tonight! :thumbright:

Be interesting to see if ALF (Annoying Little Fella) starts or gets on the field but I'm more relieved that Nooney seems to be ruled pout due to a 'niggling' injury? ;)

Chris, nothing less than a win for City if we want Top 2 or even play-offs. :thumbright: :bluebird:

What with the recent game and Madine's insider knowledge, if we can’t put a few past these tonight then we aren’t going anywhere. I want to see a convincing win, not a scrappy nervy 1 nil either. We need a statement of intent like Leeds at home for example

Totally agree, although I'm sure Neil Warnock will have his players well 'up for it' tonight :thumbright: :ayatollah:

I'm actually not sure whether Gary Madine's absence (assuming he's not on the bench with a facial mask?) will help or hinder us, as Bolton know all about him and could have set up to frustrate?

I guess we'll know come c.10pm tonight! :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Well, they came, they saw, but they didn't conquer with City taking a deserved 3 points :thumbright:

Le fondre, I thought, had his best game for City...albeit in an opposition shirt! :ayatollah:
