Regardless of the 'official' figures for tonight (which take non-attending season tickets into account) this is a very poor turn out and I'm not convinced the stadium is anywhere near half full :(

Paul/Allan, it's hugely disappointing! :(

Fans here are making a bit of an effort and Vince is trying hard with the old drum! :ayatollah:

Decent performance from City without really stepping into top gear and with maccydee's Ledley County losing we're currently seeing a much needed 4 goal swing in the goal difference stakes!

Bit disappointing to turn up at @CardiffCityFC for crucial game tonight and see such small numbers. One bonus is journey in took no time, but rather see this stadium rocking. Here’s to another important bluebirds win and gap closed on villa

Very poor attendance which surprised me.
The atmosphere was as poor and as flat as I can remember for a while.

I suppose in the Ninian Park days a crowd of 14k or 15k was not so bad as that would see three quarters of the ground filled up. Looks worse now as the CCS has more empty seats than seats taken with the same crowd. I know a few people who don't go down as often as they used to because they don't like our new stadium, and they have had a few issues with stewards. I missed last night as I am stuck in the house with man flu. Hoping to be there for the next one though.

In the Ninian Park days Steve, I don't think anyone cared how many attended the game or certainly did not make the fuss about it like they do know :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Spot on. I was there in the good times of European football back in the late 60's and early 70's, and later with my kids when a crowd of 5k plus was a good one. Never bothered me, a good game is a good game irrespective of how many of us are there. Seen some good atmospheres at NP with less than 10k there. Nice to be part of a big crowd, but as long as the team are doing ok I'm not really bothered if I am the only one who turns up.

But our club is worried, our manager is worried, our owner is worried and many of our fans are worried?

You say don't worry, a club needs fans, not a deserted stadium with No atmosphere, yet Cardiff City for 7 months have never been out of the top 4 of the Championship.

Last nights crowd of barely 16,000 included fans like myself who now live abroad.

So where are the other fans?

Surely from just the Cardiff area alone City should of been getting 20,000 plus last night?

I know but keeping on about it to us is just another negative vibe ... I think realistically we should average about 25000
But Tans red adventure coincided with Swansea's rise and a succession of crap managers playing dross football will take a while to recapture the missing 10000 fans ... Hopefully at least 20000 on Saturday :thumbright:

A mystery that we can debate until the cows come home or even the fans come back, it is what it is......maybe we should have just modernized Ninian Park :occasion5:

Not really, as the 'fans' have proven beyond doubt they are there ;)

They just need to be more consistent in their support but that can only come from within the individual :thumbright:

Dean, I always believed it was pointless leaving Ninian Park

Ninian Park could of had a all seater 25,000 capacity and it was ok to do that, but they all wanted money from the Retail Park.

The reason why its being brought up on twitter / media/fb our club etc etc

Last night head of sport tweeted about it.

National Radio talks about it.

Is because City keep doing well on the pitch/ ticket prices are more then cheap, yet our crowds home and away are dropping weekly.

Would you not be worried?

Hopefully 25,000 on Saturday, but just to reach 20,000 will be sadly special. Boro will bring about a 1,000 fans :thumbright: :thumbright:

Chris they are there for 1 or maybe 3 matches a year, not worth having a stadium like ours for that many.

So they have to be guaranteed Premier League Football for football fans from all over to watch the opposition, very sad.

I really believe we will fill it every week if we go up this time, I reckon 25,000 average.

I don’t get the obsession, we have never had consistent big crowds throughout our history. The crowds are nothing to do with the re brand or anything else, Cardiff supporters pick and choose their games, and that will never change.

We were in the Premier League playing in red, and we filled the stadium most weeks...same will happen if we get there next season, and changed our colours to pink or black and white, FACT!

There was also space to extend the family stand and the grandstand along with the lower bob bank being changed to seats.

I miss NP ffs - :(
