My View/Opinion

CARDIFF CITY TONIGHT ALWAYS LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE GOING TO GET THE 3PTS & ARE NOW 5 MATCHES UNDEFEATED IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

CARDIFF CITY ARE CURRENTLY JOINT 3RD FROM TOP IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP, YET THE CARDIFF STADIUM WAS TONIGHT LIFELESS & LOOKED LESS THAN HALF FULL

Sean Morrison was magnificent tonight. The skipper was winning absolutely everything in the air :thumbright:

Yes over all a very flat game, but positive is City never had to change gear :thumbright:

First-Half: Very scrappy and lacked quality, BUT Cardiff City in the last 10mins took total control of the game, with Armand Traore and Sean Morrison scoring the goals :thumbright: :thumbright:

Bolton were very poor and never tested Etheridge in the first-half.

Neil Warnock made big changes tonight with Madine out injured, Warnock started with Kenneth Johore and Jamie Ward upfront, whilst Sol Bamba was on the bench.

CARDIFF C 2 BOLTON W 0 :bluebird: :bluebird:
Crowd 16.013
Away 170 Bolton fans

CITY: Neil Etheridge, Lee Peltier, Sean Morrison, Bruno Manga, Armand Traore, Joe Ralls
Marko Grujic, Callum Paterson ,Jamie Ward,Junior Hoilett ,Kenneth Zohore.

SUBS: Brian Murphy,Sol Bamba,Joe Bennett ,Loic Damour,Liam Feeney,Yanic Wildschut ,Anthony Pilkington.

After only 12mins new striker Jamie Ward was injured and had to be subbed with Wildschut coming on.

In the 20th min Brilliance from Zohore. He held the ball up marvellously despite the attention of Beevers and played a perfectly weighted through-ball in for Wildschut, who’s one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but he hit it straight into his leg :o

The game was becoming a bit lifeless along with the stadium, with no quality on the pitch, very scrappy.

Then bang 35th min from no where City went 1-0 :thumbright: :bluebird: with Armand Traore scoring for City :ayatollah:
Traore looped the ball over the Bolton goalie :thumbright:

Cardiff took control and nearly scored a second Morrison headed towards goal following Traoré’s flick-on, but Alnwick tipped it wide.

44th min 44 - GOAL!!! Sean Morrison marked his 150th Cardiff City appearance with a goal! 2-0 City :thumbright: :bluebird:

Bolton were yet to really test Etheridge.

H/T 2-0 :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

With in mins Manga headed on to the Bolton crossbar.

Most of the second-half was very flat.

Pilks came on for Zohore.

Yes a flat game over all, but 3pts are what matters :thumbright:

F/T 2-0 :thumbright: :thumbright:

Sean Morrison was magnificent tonight. The skipper was winning absolutely everything in the air - and that’s not easy against a side as physical as Bolton. :thumbright:

MY MAN OF THE MATCH SEASN MORRISON :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird:

UP NEXT MIDDLESBOROUGH HOME THIS SATURDAY 3PM :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Cardiff are now nine points clear of seventh. The play-offs are looking a very achiveable minimum here, although you wouldn’t bet against them pushing the top two. :thumbright: :bluebird:

God result for City and it could have been more with some excellent performances from City players, including my personal MotM, Sean Morrison! :thumbright:

Thought that Kenneth Zohore was only that one shot from a very good performance rather than the good one I believe he had overall

It could/should have been more and the Derby game was a bonus in two way, i.e. they lost and they went a game ahead in the count list

Overall, a very good performance and a very good night for the resurgent Bluebirds! :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Its great that Warnock is in a position to rotate his squad now, with all the players contributing to our success :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Big three points.

We needed two wins from this and Saturday, so we’re halfway there.

Been critical of Grujic, but fair play to him last night starting to control midfield and looked comfortable on the ball all be it against a poor Bolton side but he can only improve from here on in.Yannick a good game for me as well, hard to pick man of the match.
