Agreed best way is looking at other Clubs who have maintained large crowds when even not playing well on the pitch.

Not only have they sold cheap season tickets, Bradford really are a club at the heart of their community and do work with their fans and listen to them, but also they've never hurt their own fans, so thats where City have so much to make up.

Attitudes from staff?
Attitude from the people who run the club?
More closeness with the players and the fans :thumbright:
More with the schools :thumbright:
Listen to the fans more :thumbright:
Don't forget your loyal fans once promoted etc :thumbright:

Bradford City average of 20,000 for home games for a club in the middle of League 1(Old div 3) and have done for the last 5-6 years :thumbright: :thumbright:

My sons year in high school is predominantly Swansea fans, this is a school on the outskirts of Cardiff and I see the club doing nothing to address it.

Where is it? I’ve still to see a jack top anywhere near Cardiff inc Bridgend! Maybe I’m just lucky eh....

The re-brand doesn't matter now we are playing in blue.

Who said history doesn't matter? What I said was that the re-brand has bugger all to do with a discussion about atmosphere at the stadium in season 17/18.

People get the rebrand reason all wrong. They stopped going, but the main issue is they have now found other things to do and enjoy them instead. They still follow our results but simply do other things, no big deal, that’s life.

Goats, Your 100% correct :thumbright:

Many many of the older fans I know tell me that.

I find it sickening that jacks have infiltrated traditionally Cardiff supporting schools. They are the future. The club need to act.

The school comes under the vale of glamorgan where in year 8 my son is in the minority as a Cardiff fan, for the record I also coach Year 8 football in the Vale of glamorgan league and have 3 players wearing Swansea kits for training each week.

You can keep calling it bullsh1t but it's the truth. Because you've not seen it means nothing.

Why not pop along to the Swansea city academies run in north Cardiff each week to also see.

Shocked me the other week to see father and son shopping in JD sports on queen street sporting Swansea city winter jackets.

But then again it's all B.S. because you've not seen it.

I’m impressed how Bradford’s away support seems to have increased as well. You make some really good points, the club needs to work within the community such as schools. I can’t belive some schools in our catchment area now have Swansea followers the club needs to do all they can to get those youngsters following Cardiff if that means really cheap or free tickets then they need to do that.

In regards to Jacks in predominantly 'Cardiff supporting areas' I'm afraid it's true, maybe not on a massive scale but its happened/happening all the same up in a lot of the Valleys areas, especially the further you go towards the heads of the valleys

A lot of places used to be 99% Cardiff but its probably more 80/20 in our favour now, the longer they stay in the Premiership and we are not there the more the split will decline and give it 10 years most kids will be Jacks, unless they have Cardiff supporting family, if they expand the Liberty and tickets are more available what are kids going to want to see, Cardiff vs Burton in the Championship or Swansea Vs (insert here) in the Premiership, the next 5-10 years realy are make or break IMO.

Don’t believe it, they’ve been saying it for years, academy schools here there and everywhere, not produced much have they?
The sooner they end up back in league 1 the better, just to end the myth.

Is that it? Is that your response?

What part are you OT believing or is it all of it?

If you don't believe maybe ask yourself why I as a season ticket holder of over 20 years and from a family where my father is a season ticket holder of over 40 years and my son a season ticket holder of 7 years would feel the need to make any of the above up.

I certainly don't benefit from seeing my club fail to attract a new generation of supporters.

We specialise in losing generations of supporters, I’ve heard it forever since the old classic John Toshack leaving garb. We’ve lost them every year since we’ve been in the lower leagues in the mid 80’s.
We did it more recently with the rebrand. We’ve always had a core of support in the valleys, why? Merthyr is closer to Swansea than Cardiff yet it’s always been blue. It was always destined to even up one day like many other small towns where kids have f all to do. Kids are kids, they will probably grow out of it anyway when they realise what’s what. Most kids I grew up with in Cardiff in the 80’s said they supported Liverpool, spurs or whoever. They don’t now though and they never went near the actual games. If the jacks do go down this year then it will all end with immediate affect anyway. All piss and wind.
They certainly won’t last much longer, the luckiest club known to man over the last decade. Even if they did so what, imagine they had as much support in say Barry as we have had right on their doorstep in PT? It would be hard to swallow but that’s life and to be honest I can’t imagine it. Didn’t do them too much harm did it? Having us all around them......swings and roundabouts as they say

getting the ball boys to retrieve the ball once in a while would be a start...worst I've ever seen, glued to their seats and never go pitchside of the hoardings.

Alcohol may improve the atmosphere but half the population of the Canton and Ninian stands going to queue up after 40 minutes to have a drink and not coming back til 50 certainly doesn't.
